In between the
illnesses, I traveled to Denver for the National Western Stock Show. I hadn’t
been in several years, and had a great time catching up with friends,
especially my favorite veterinary student, Val Ujazdowski!
February started out
for me in Nashville, TN, where I attended the Cattle Industry Convention and
NCBA Trade Show. Montana had a large group in attendance and we were all very
proud of our own Bill Donald, as he passed the reins of the NCBA presidency on
to JD Alexander.
I’m super excited
about the Collegiate Stockgrowers at Montana State University, a new club that
is just forming. I’m honored to serve as the advisor for this great group of
students. I missed the first meeting due to a blizzard between here and there,
but was happy to get to the second meeting on campus last week. The enthusiasm
in the room was great to witness!
This time of year,
travel always starts to wear on me a bit. I’m looking forward to my annual
ranch calving vacation next month!
Yours in travel,
